Fiona Ashe is an accomplished, acclaimed trainer, whose clients include the Irish Government, innovation centres, PR agencies, educational institutions, SMEs, non-profit organisations, business networks and state bodies.

She regularly delivers Speech Writing and Briefing Notes courses for the Irish Government.

She has been commissioned many times by the Irish national tourism agency Fáilte Ireland to design and deliver training courses on Creative Writing, Video Production and Creating Compelling Content.

Media trainer Fiona Ashe has a remarkable track record that includes a very unique combination of broadcast journalism, filmmaking, professional writing, book editing and PR/marketing. She has an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications Studies from Dublin City University (DCU) and is a graduate of Dundalk Institute of Technology’s New Media Factory. She has been delivering media services to businesses and educational clients for more than two decades.

PR/Marketing

Fiona has provided PR/Marketing training through Fáilte Ireland, Irish Times Training, UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, Enterprise Ireland, Local Enterprise Offices, the Novation Enterprise Platform Programme (NEPP) at Dundalk Institute of Technology, the Synergy EPP at IT Tallaght, Nova UCD, and Chambers of Commerce. She has also provided marketing and PR services for a range of SMEs, non-profit organisations, business networks and state bodies.

Video Production

Fiona has extensive training and experience in directing, writing, storytelling, visual structure, camerawork and editing. In 2015 and 2016, she designed and delivered the Video Production module to global delegates for the British Council Advanced Social Media training course. Her corporate video clients include Oracle, Enterprise Ireland, Sandyford Business District, Battle of Aughrim Visitor Centre, Kingsley Aikins of The Networking Institute, and author Orlaith Carmody.

Storytelling

Fiona has specialised in storytelling through film and video throughout her entire career.  She holds qualifications from the New York Film Academy and the University of Southern California. In 2020, Fiona delivered online Storytelling workshops to global humanitarian logistics staff through the Kuehne Foundation/HELP Logistics. She subsequently wrote, directed and edited two audio dramas for them to use as educational materials.

Business Writing

Fiona trains senior civil servants in the Irish Government to write Briefing Notes, Submissions, and Speeches for Government Ministers. She also delivers Business Writing and Report Writing training to business professionals through Irish Times Training. She has edited three books, including a concise history of the two world wars and the interwar years.

Broadcast Journalism

Fiona is an experienced broadcast journalist. She produced news and current affairs programmes for TV3 (now Virgin Media). She subsequently spent eight years as an on-air journalist with Today FM. She later produced and presented radio bulletins on Newstalk and Today FM for four years. Her journalistic mindset informs all of her work in Flasheforward Communications.
